Obesity is one of the biggest issues that the people of the United States are facing. The main reason for being obese is directly related to the foods items that we consume on daily basis. We only know that the cause of obesity is eating unhealthy food but when we look into it more deeply and relate it to the sociological imagination theory we come up with various reasons for obesity. Sociological imagination, the term coined by sociologist C. Wright Mills in his book of the same title published in the year 1959 means the connection of different things between an individual and the society.
